Glenn Singleton is a globally recognized architect of racial equity and a pioneering force in leadership development, boasting over three decades of dedicated service. As a celebrated author, influential thought leader, and strategic visionary, he is the creator of Courageous Conversation®, a transformative protocol and framework that fosters sustained and profound dialogue, and Beyond Diversity, the groundbreaking curriculum that has empowered hundreds of thousands to implement this vital methodology.

As Founder and CEO of Courageous Conversation®, a preeminent agency, Singleton guides leadership development across a diverse spectrum of sectors, including education, government, corporations, law enforcement, and community organizing. His award-winning literary contributions include Courageous Conversations About Race; A Field Guide for Achieving Equity in Schools, Third Edition and MORE Courageous Conversations About Race, seminal works that have become essential resources in the pursuit of racial justice.

Singleton’s profound impact resonates within the highest echelons of industry and public service. He has provided expert counsel to executives at global powerhouses such as Wieden+Kennedy (W+K) Advertising, Google, Amazon, Procter & Gamble, the New York Department of Education, the New Zealand Ministry of Education, the Lyndon B. Johnson Presidential Library, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. His impactful partnership with W+K garnered the prestigious 2017 Most Valuable Partnership (MVP) Award by AdColor. His contributions have been further recognized with the George A. Coleman Excellence in Equity Award by the Connecticut State Education Resource Center, a citation in the June 2018 edition of The Hollywood Reporter for his work with 21st Century Fox Animation, the AdWeek/ AdColor 2020 Champion Award, the 2021 Ad Age Creativity Awards Diversity & Inclusion Champion of the Year, and a National Speech and Debate Association 2023 Communicator of the Year Award.

A dedicated philanthropist and community builder, Singleton founded the Foundation for A College Education in 1995 and continues to serve on its Board of Advisors. He also founded and chairs the Board of the Courageous Conversation® Global Foundation, an organization dedicated to forging partnerships that advance racial justice, foster interracial understanding, and promote human healing on a global scale.

Singleton’s influence extends internationally, having trained law enforcement leaders with the U.S. Embassy in Western Australia and establishing the Courageous Conversation® South Pacific Institute in Auckland, New Zealand. He has shared his expertise as an adjunct professor of educational leadership at San Jose State University for eight years and has been a sought-after guest lecturer at institutions such as Harvard University, the University of Minnesota, New York University School of Medicine, and the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas.

After more than two decades of travel, study, and enterprise, Singleton was granted citizenship to the Republic of Ghana in 2021.

Following his naturalization, he founded Door of Return, LLC, an organization dedicated to strengthening connections and fostering collaboration between African American and Ghanaian communities. Through initiatives centered on tourism, investment, business, commerce, and governmental relations, Door of Return serves as a bridge across the African diaspora. Its flagship program, Homecoming, has already brought hundreds of African American leaders to the continent, deepening cultural and economic ties. In 2024, Singleton was named Nana Kokora Korenteng and enstooled as Nkosohene, or the Development Chief of Apirede. He is responsible for advising the community leadership on education, business, technology and healthcare development.

Singleton is a distinguished graduate of both the University of Pennsylvania and Stanford University. He is a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., and the recipient of the organization’s 2025 Image Award. Singleton is also a member of 100 Black Men. He currently resides in both Washington, D.C., and Accra, Ghana.
